| What is the use of composite materials? | |

Composite materials offer the possibility of joining durably different materials, thus making use of the advantages of each individual material. It is possible, for example, to combine thermoplast with duroplast or duroplast with laminated wood or laminated wood with densified wood, with such combinations not only resulting in a reduction of weight and cost saving, but also ensuring stiffness and abrasion resistance which cannot be achieved with the individual materials alone. |
